We are grateful to have fulfilled our dream of hosting our spiritual director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche here in New York. Over the course of two weeks, Rinpoche blessed us with teachings, a long life initiation, led us in Guru Puja and meditation, as well as a prayer service in Battery Park for 9/11 victims. He also gave us advice for the success of our Center, and met with Shantideva Meditation volunteers, students, and members of the New York Sherpa community.

For a full summary of Rinpoche’s recent visit, written by our Director, Jennifer Kim, please visit Mandala Magazine’s blog.

Again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Lama Zopa Rinpoche for providing many teachings and affording us invaluable advice and transmissions. We would also like to thank Tibet House and Jewel Heart Center for making their space available for the teachings and events. The devoted volunteers whose help was crucial to the success of the teachings. Lastly, thank you to all for coming and contributing to the wonderful collective energy.

Please enjoy the photos below and those from Rinpoche’s entire visit on our Facebook album.

A video playlist of Rinpoche’s teachings can be found on our YouTube channel.

You may also play or download the audio recordings of these events on SoundCloud.
