Tuesdays, September 5 and 12 from 7:00pm-8:30pm
at Jewel Heart Center
When it comes to training our mind through meditation, we are often quick to postpone it to a tomorrow that rarely comes. We tell ourselves we have lots of other things to do first, or we’re just too tired. There is nothing new about that — many Buddhist teachings address these obstacles to practice and offer antidotes. In these two Tuesday meditations, we’ll contemplate a few of them to inspire our meditation practice and get back to work on our minds after the summer break (Monday, August 14 – Sunday, August 27. We will reopen on Monday, August 28th.)
This series incorporates advice and practices to use between the two sessions (and after). It is most beneficial to attend both sessions, but also possible to attend individual sessions.
Dates, Time, and Topics:
Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30pm:
September 5: I’ll meditate today (antidotes to procrastination)
September 12: I can meditate! (antidotes to discouragement)
