Shantideva Meditation Center activities are organized by a committed and friendly group of volunteers who sincerely practice the Buddha’s teachings and aspire to share them with others. We aspire to create a work and community environment that reflects the Buddha’s teachings, bringing the practice of mindfulness. Offering service in our harmonious community is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate positive spiritual potential and share your talents in a meaningful way, generating much benefit for yourself and others.
Some positions are for those committed to serving a specified term and contributing a minimum number of hours. In exchange, we can offer opportunities including teachings and retreats, invitations to private events with visiting teachers, and other benefits.
Help Create a Community of Practitioners
- Offer service as a volunteer giving your time and talents in a way that is most beneficial for the group

Open Volunteer Positions
Registration Manager: Compile registration forms for retreats, public events, and courses from online reservation tracking, welcome guests and students while recording and updating attendance, collect and secure funds collected at teachings, and tally collected funds for Registration Supervisor after events. Hours: During visiting teacher events 1-5 hrs per week.
Host Visiting Teachers: Open your home to host a visiting teacher! This generous offering is a precious opportunity to experience a direct connection with one of our inspiring teachers while generating loads of merit!
Auction Planning: Assist with acquiring items, marketing, invitations or logistics. Click here for more details. Hours: flexible.
Assist with Audio/Video: Assist with editing/downloading videos and other A/V and webinar needs. Hours: 1-4hrs per month.
Volunteer for Altar Setup: For some pujas or visiting teachers. Training will be provided for altar volunteers. Hours: 1 to 4hrs per month.
